Nehemiah 8:10KJV

The import from the scripture above is how Nehemiah, Ezra and the LevitesĀ  encouraged the Israelites from mourning and grieving thereby losing their joy.

The opposite of joy is sadness. God want believers to stay in perpetual joy regardless of the horrible experiences of life. This can only be possible when believers understand Satan’s strategy of luring them into sadness through the sad events of life.

This understanding will arm anyone against the devil’s strategy to drive people into depression, which has sent many to their untimely death.

Don’t let the devil steal your joy sermon

Keep your joy to yourself. I frequently quote this verse from the Bible, but it applies to the whole book. This means that each of us has things in our lives, such as our children, spouses, friends, and relatives, that bring us happiness and smiles. However, there are also instances when people with different goals and interests from our own steal our joy.

I formerly kept a file of Bible verses on my phone. My parents used it as a motivation when I was a child. This biblical quote, “Don’t let anyone steal your joy,” was always my go-to response whenever I was faced with a challenging task at school or at work. It continues to be my preferred reading for any upcoming assignments or projects.

John 10:10 KJV

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

John 10:10 KJV

John 10:10KJV

The devil in the scripture above is described as a thief whose ungodly agenda is to steal. Awareness of this reality keeps one in a firm position to guard those joys.

I’ve experienced this feeling a lot in my life, particularly when I was younger. I was taught at school that my inability to focus on learning was a result of all the distractions in my immediate environment. No matter if it was a teacher or even one’s peers, it didn’t matter. Nobody has the right to rob us of our delight by demonstrating their superiority.

We may all choose to be joyful whenever we wish. How you view life and the world around you holds the key. Have you ever felt as though someone or something stole your joy? If this is the case, you are not alone, but there is a solution!

Life is hard, and sometimes struggles will come your way. If you are not ready for them, then they can steal a part of your joy ā€” that elusive feeling that makes us want to live in this world.

If you have been completely worn down by that person in your life, who keeps taking away all of your joy and satisfaction, then this is the article you need to read. The old adage, “don’t let anybody steal your joy” is one of the most important pieces of advice we can give ourselves.

You are loved and cared for. You’re going to get exactly what you deserve in this life, you just have to accept it. That’s right, no matter what life throws at you ā€“ your joy can be stolen. Don’t let anyone stop you from enjoying the good stuff in life.

You know, some days it really hurts to see someone or something steal your joy. It feels as though someone has stolen a piece of you and is trying to sell it back to you. When this happens, we need to remember that our joy is something that belongs to God only, and the Lord will grant us grace and blessings in many ways.

It’s hard to hear when your joy is stolen. We are all vulnerable when someone steals our happiness for their own.

We all want to be happy and we all want to be surrounded by people who bring us joy, but what many of us fail to realize is that there are people in our lives who have been stealing our joy ā€“ and we don’t even know it.
