Love is not a feeling, it is an action. When you truly love someone, you will go to any lengths to keep them safe, even if it means risking your own life. Love is gentle and patient; it never boasts or is envious, and it never acts arrogantly.

Love doesn’t insist on getting its way, it isn’t impatient or resentful, and it doesn’t celebrate injustice; instead, it celebrates when the truth triumphs. Love suffers all things, bears all things, and believes all things. Love never stops, neither with the lover nor the hater (1 Corinthians 13:1–3).

Mark 14:35-36 AMP

After going a little farther, He fell to the ground [distressed by the weight of His spiritual burden] and began to pray that if it were possible [in the Father’s will], the hour [of suffering and death for the sins of mankind] might pass from Him. 36 He was saying, Abba, Father! All things are possible for You; take this cup [of judgment] away from Me; but not what I will, but what You will.”-

Mark 14:35-36

Jesus was praying at the Garden of Gethsemane, for the very reason he hath come. He endured to the end. Jesus hath the power to call ten thousand angels to come to rescue Him. But He did not. He shared the love of the Father with us. True love is not a feeling; it is an action. It involves deciding to act in another person’s best interests, despite your own feelings and at the price of your own interests. Christ sacrificed himself in this way for his followers and the church.

Love Is A Choice Bible Verse

Love is a decision because what you do determines whether it endures or dies. You are in charge of how you behave in your interpersonal interactions and how far you are willing to go to overcome obstacles. affection need not only be physical. Also, it can be demonstrated by mindfulness. However, you can still decide not to be thoughtful about it. And remember, not deciding is to decide.

1 Corinthians 13:4 AMP

Love endures with patience and serenity, love is kind and thoughtful, and is not jealous or envious; love does not brag and is not proud or arrogant. –

1 Corinthians 13:4 AMP

1-Corinthians-13-4-AMP

The grace of agape love is the highest of all of God’s spiritual gifts. If love isn’t the driving force behind them, all the other gifts of the Spirit that Christians may use are worthless and pointless. The Bible refers to faith, hope, and love, but declares that love is the greatest.

  • Patience itself is a virtue. Love that is patient with transgressions is slow to avenge or punish the offender.
  • Kindness is an attribute of being amiable, compassionate, and thoughtful. How we treat others is referred to as kindness. It particularly signifies a love that responds to people who have been mistreated with goodness.
  • Love does not envy. When others are blessed, love celebrates with others it; it does not jealousy.
  •  Love of this nature does not elevate itself above others. It acknowledges that our accomplishments are not a result of our own intelligence. It is not arrogant

Love is Not A Feeling

Love is choosing to invest time and emotion in a relationship. Onesimus was not Paul’s biological child, “all the believers were together and shared everything in common” in the early church.

Proverbs 25:21-22 AMPC

If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink;-

Proverbs 25:21-22 AMPC

Proverbs-25-21-22-AMPC

God is love and we who are His children must love just as the Father. It is a command. However, be compassionate and assist them in some manner. According to Scripture, doing this will “load flaming coals on their head.” Various translations of the Bible refer to this as “shame” or “unexpected benevolence.”

The intention is not to hurt people by being friendly to them. This will speak more of the humanity in us. The word enemy hear does not necessarily refer to people who hate us, but to people outside our faith. Our humanitarian works should not just be focused on those with the same faith or community. Let love cover it all.

Whatever you feel or don’t feel about your spouse (or any other person) has very little to do with love. Why? Because love is not a feeling, it is an action. Because we choose to forgive, love endures. Because we decide to concentrate on and keep seeing our relationship in the best light.

For the bible says, whilst we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Love is a commitment. When we talk about love, it is necessarily our actions that determine if what we are saying is genuine.

Love is a Command Not Just a Feeling

Love takes time to develop. Love is a process. To develop and grow, one needs to spend hundreds of hours with someone in a variety of settings. It necessitates seeing this person in a variety of situations. It is no accident that love takes considerably some time to develop. It doesn’t just “simply happen” without your permission. Love is something that you decide to pursue and let it grow.

John 13:34-35 AMPC

I give you a new commandment: that you should love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too should love one another. 35 By all this shall all [men] know that you are My disciples, if you love one another [if you keep on showing love among yourselves]-

John 13:34-35 AMPC

God hath commanded us to love. Love is the greatest commandment. Love your neighbour even as yourself. God is love, and as His children, we must emulate the Father in our love. It is an order. But show them sympathy and help them in some way.

You now have a new commandment from Jesus: to love one another. We should love one another just as He loves us. We should not limit our humanitarian efforts to people of the same faith or group. Let our light so shine before men so that they see the love of the Father through us His children. Let love handle everything.

But the kind of love that God created and demonstrated is a costly one because it involves sacrifice and presence. It’s a love that operates more like a sign language than being spoken outright.” –

Bible Verses About Love

When Jesus was questioned by a scribe about which commandment was the most important. We would have anticipated him to say, “Thou shall not kill.” He just stated, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind,” omitting any mention of any of the Ten Commandments. “Love your neighbor as yourself,” he continued.

John 13:34-35 AMP

I give you a new commandment: that you should love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too should love one another. 35 By this shall all [men] know that you are My disciples if you love one another [if you keep on showing love among yourselves]-

John 13:34-35 AMP

God has given us the mandate to love one another. God asks us to love one another and to believe in the existence of His Son, Jesus. We already hold that belief. Now, we ought to love. Along with the commandment to love, God gave us this love. God originally gave us this love before enjoining us to show love to one another. God’s love for us is seen and demonstrated by the fact that Christ died for us while we were still sinners. Because God is love, we must love one another.

The children of God are those who have love. Since God is love, those who do not love have not known God. God created love in us at the same time He created us. Because if we have the ability to communicate in the tongues of men and angels, but do not have love, which is a result of God’s love for us, we are nothing but lousy.
