Telling others about our personal encounters with the Lord Jesus is regarded as “witnessing.” When we accepted Jesus as our Savior, perhaps we told our loved ones or friends about our beautiful salvation experience because we are all obligated to spread the good news of God’s glory to those in our community.

The Bible tells us in numerous verses that we should spread the gospel of our Lord and Savior so that sinners can find salvation. Let’s review some of those verses here.

What Does the Bible Say about Witnessing to Others

God calls us to be His witnesses and spread His message of love, forgiveness, deliverance, and empowerment.

In order for us to understand God’s love for us and to recognize the many people who live in darkness and yearn for light, as well as the many people who still do not know God and need to come to know Him, we must read God’s words, which reveal His passionate desire to save mankind.

Mark 16:15

He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.-

Mark 16:15 NIV

Mark 16_15 NIV

Being a witness means that Christians are to set an example for others by living according to the moral principles that Jesus taught and by sharing their own firsthand accounts of how the Gospel has changed their lives.

In this perspective, “witnessing” refers to living one’s religion in such a way that others can see, hear, and feel the effects of the Gospel in your life. It also refers to sharing one’s faith with others.

It’s also a call to action for Christians to go out and actively share their faith with others while actively living out their faith and serving as an example to others.

Christians can then truly “witness” to the transforming influence of the Gospel in their lives by doing so.

Romans 10:15

And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”-

Romans 10:15 NIV

Romans 10_15 NIV

Paul in this passage expresses that the message of salvation must be preached in order for people to be saved and that the feet of those who carry the message are beautiful.

This verse emphasizes the need for Christians to be sent out to share the Good News with those who have not heard it, and it serves as a call to action for believers to be bold in proclaiming the Gospel.

What Does God Say about Witnessing

God’s desire is that everyone worldwide is reconciled to Him. He has given Christians the “word of reconciliation.”

That privilege uniquely belongs to all who have believed in Christ. Jesus’ last instructions to His disciples before He ascended to His Father were in relation to witnessing.

He commissioned them to make disciples as they went into all the world and to baptize and teach them. He promised them that when they received the Holy Spirit they would be powerful witnesses of Him.

Matthew 28:19-20

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.-

Matthew 28:19-20 NIV

Matthew 28_19-20 NIV

We are all invited to be His disciples, to learn from Him, to grow in our knowledge of Him, and to be mature in our faith.

The commission that Christ gave to His own disciples at His ascension was not just a call to evangelize the lost; it was also a call for all believers to learn about Christ, to continue learning about Him throughout their lives, and even to become teachers of Christ as they progress in their Christian lives.

Being a Good Witness Bible Verses

Being a good Bible witness involves prayer and dependence on the Holy Spirit. Remember, as a witness, it isn’t your job to save people (that’s God’s job!), but to share all you have been taught and know about Jesus.

Be wise in the way you act towards outsiders, make the most of every opportunity, and let your conversations be full of grace.

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who hear.

We must also be ready to give an answer to anyone who asks us about the hope we have in Jesus.

Verses about Telling Others About God

We should constantly speak about what God has done in our own lives. We must be faithful in obedience and then we must trust that the Spirit will use our words to work in the heart of the person we are speaking to.

Talk to people about how Jesus is the only way to get to heaven, and how He has made a difference in our lives.

Additionally, we should be prepared to share our story of how we came to know Christ and what He means to us.

Ultimately, a Christian who wants to live his life as a testimony to Jesus will love God above all else and love others above himself.

Matthew 5:16

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.-

Matthew 5:16 NIV

Matthew 5_16 NIV

The good deeds we carry out are a result of the new life that Christ has given us and is at work in us.

When we experienced a spiritual rebirth, we were given access to Christ’s new, born-again life.

People should be able to see the manifestation of God’s power in their life. This is one way of telling people about God, even without speaking.

What to Say When Witnessing About Jesus

Start off by discussing simple topics with the person. There’s a strong chance that if you sit down next to a complete stranger and begin chatting about their soul, they’ll become uncomfortable and move away. Spend some time conversing normally with the person instead.

Use the topic of your faith as a springboard to start up a conversation. The specific manner in which you’ll do this will depend on what you and the other person are discussing, as with any form of conversation.

Try to let the dialogue flow naturally, and as you continue, ask for wisdom, sensitivity, and direction from God.

The lesson of God’s message of forgiveness is a lovely one. As you speak to the person, try to convey God’s love towards them, maintaining the conversation’s attention on the account of atonement salvation, and forgiveness.

What Does the Bible Say about Sharing the Gospel with Others

Although it is the Holy Spirit’s job in converting someone to Christianity. We can collaborate with the Holy Spirit in that mission by sharing the gospel.

According to the Bible, anybody who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved, and preachers are essential for ensuring that people hear and accept the message.

Mark 16:15

He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.-

Mark 16:15 NIV

Mark 16_15 NIV

The gospel is intended to offer redemption and hopes to everyone who accepts it. It is the good news of Jesus’ death and resurrection.

No matter their history or beliefs, we are called to proclaim this good news and share it with everyone.

Only when we aggressively share the gospel with everyone will they have a chance to accept it and find salvation.

Scriptures for Witnessing to the Unsaved

It can be quite difficult for Christians to see unsaved people live lives without God. We are saddened by the fact that they have yet to recognize their need for a close relationship with Jesus.

They may sometimes blatantly dismiss or reject even the notion that God exists. The verse that follows provides guidance on how to reach such people with the gospel.

Ezekiel 11:19-20

I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh. Then they will follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. They will be my people, and I will be their God.-

According to what the Bible says, a crucial component of the Christian religion is serving others.

1 Corinthians 15:1-4

Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.-

For everyone who believes in Him, Jesus Christ is the living embodiment of truth.

Romans 10:9-10

In Conclusion, Salvation is this simple. You will be saved if you openly confess that Jesus is Lord and truly believe that God raised him from the dead.  So basic yet profound.

Everything has been done for us by Jesus. Nothing was left undone by Him, and the only thing left to do is to rejoice in the new life that has been made possible by the Son of God. That is all there is to it.

Jesus is the path that each of us must take. We must believe in Jesus as the truth. Our hope lies in Jesus, Who is the life. There is only one method to reach God, one way to understand God, and only one way to live.

JESUS is the one and only way, the truth, and the life. The sinner can reach God the Father through no other religion, religious belief, way, ideology, or sacraments. Tell people about Christ Today, and He will grant you eternal life.
