Nehemiah 1:4

Nehemiah1-4

When Nehemiah hears the unfavorable word about Jerusalem in this section of scripture, he is able to sense the heart of God. He slumps into a chair and starts to cry, mourning for hours. God cares about humans more than anything else, and that breaks his heart. Now, Nehemiah makes this issue very intimate.

He now formally bears a burden for the citizens of Jerusalem from God. Is my heart broken for the hurting and the lost? is a question that we must ask ourselves. Does it affect me on a soul-deep level? While a burden will make you cry, it will also ignite passion in your heart. God is on the lookout for persons who will embody His passion and heart for others.

Malachi 1:11 KJV

For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the Lord of hosts.

Malachi-1-11

God desires that in every place where the sun does its successive journey His name should be great. This is the heartbeat of God.

Revelation 11:15 KJV

And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

Revelation-11-15

God desires that the kingdoms of this world shall be the kingdom of our God and of his Christ. This is a major concern in the heart of God. God desires that the world and it’s kingdom shall be His through the obedience of man.

Looking at this we may begin to wonder and ponder in our hearts. Was it not God that created the world? Why does He demand ownership of it again? Yes! God created our world, and created man as the sole proprietor of our universe and man eventually handed over our universe to Satan when he obeyed him and ate the forbidden fruit.

Psalm 110:1-2 KJV

The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. [2] The Lord shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.

Psalm 110:1-2 KJV

God sent us the rod of his strength in the person of Christ and the many disciples of Christ is also this “rod out of Zion” God will use you to actualize the dream in his heart, He will break your heart with what breaks his heart – colonisation of our world. That’s why He commands the making of disciples in every place.

Matthew 28:19-20 KJV

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: [20] Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

-Matthew 28:19-20 KJV

Proverbs 11:30 KJV

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

Soul winning is everything in the heart of God because God desires that no man should perish:

2 Peter 3:9 KJV

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Matthew 18:14 KJV

Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.

God wants every man to bow his knee and heart and confess the Lordship of his Son over their lives and families.
