Easter is a Christian celebration commemorating Jesus Christ’s resurrection from the dead. The events of Easter are documented in the Bible’s New Testament, specifically in the four Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

According to the Bible, Jesus was killed on Good Friday by the Roman authorities. His corpse was interred in a tomb after his death. Nonetheless, Jesus was resurrected from the grave on the third day following his death, today known as Easter Sunday.

In the Gospels, the account of the resurrection best describes Easter. According to Matthew 28, an angel arrived at the tomb where Jesus had been buried and told the ladies who had come to visit him that he had risen from the dead.

And it is written in John 20 that Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and found it empty, but then she met Jesus and understood he had risen from the dead.
