So, what does the Bible genuinely teach about self-gratification? The truth is that it isn’t evident. Some passages appear to criticize it, while others seem to condone it. Finally, each individual must decide what they believe about this subject.
In general, the Bible teaches that sex is just for marriage. Conversely, marriage is prepared to be a religious commitment between a man and a woman.
While self-gratification is not directly mentioned in the Bible, it is nevertheless vital to evaluate how your actions may affect your marriage connection if you are married.
Finally, whether or not you engage in self-pleasure is a personal choice. So, whatever you decide, make certain that your intentions are pure and that you are not doing anything that could jeopardize your connection with God or your spouse.

Self Fornication
Manual stimulation of the genital organs is defined as masturbation. It is commonly regarded as a solo act but can also be a component of partnered sexual activity.
Self-fornication will not completely ease any sexual tension that one may be experiencing. It may work for a short time, but in the long run, it merely increases the desire and ability for sex, leading to more masturbation.
If you allow yourself to be enslaved by a sexual high, you will discover that you must perform increasingly extreme acts to maintain the same level of arousal.
There are even ungodly sex therapists that advocate masturbation to increase sexual desire rather than decrease it.
This leads to a vicious spiral, similar to how a junkie seeks a “fix” yet is only temporarily pleased. The more he indulges in his habit, the more engulfed he becomes in addiction.
Is touching yourself a Sin in Catholic
God created a sexual expression to link a man and a woman in a thorough, faithful, accessible, and productive embrace, and so in marriage.
Indeed, the marital act is the beautiful, God-given expression by which a man and woman become “one flesh” in marriage for the first time (Gen. 2:24), and by which they renew their marriage bond thereafter.
As a result, masturbation violates the Sixth Commandment because it destroys the unbreakable tie between the love-giving and life-giving parts of the marriage act, which God has engraved.
Masturbation, whether within or outside of marriage, is an act in which one turns selfishly inward, as opposed to the intimate and mutual self-giving that is the hallmark of the marital act.
What Does the Bible Say about Touching Yourself
Masturbation, in some ways, might be considered a type of mental pornography, which we all know is wrong.
We also know sin by the witness of the Holy Spirit within, if that witness has not been quenched by continued rebellion (1 Thessalonians 5:19; see also Ephesians 4:30).
And who doesn’t feel guilty about masturbating, even if they’ve convinced themselves that it’s not sinful?
Furthermore, the Bible teaches that the body is the Holy Spirit’s sanctuary – a sacred temple (1 Corinthians 3:16; 2 Corinthians 6:16) – and that it is a member of Christ Himself (1 Corinthians 6:15-20).
If we are told not to join “Christ in us” with a prostitute, why would we wish to unite Him with our bad ideas and images? Corinthians 6:15-17
Sexual immorality is also a transgression against our bodies, according to the Bible (1 Corinthians 6:18c). Furthermore, 1 Peter 2:11 states that wicked passions wage war against our souls (1 Peter 2:11).
In that way, by masturbating and participating in immoral fantasies, we are fighting against ourselves. And war is awful, as anyone subjected to it can confirm.
Finally, 1 Corinthians 6:12, 2 Peter 2:19-20, and Romans 6:14-23 all state that whatever masters us (other than the Holy Spirit) is damaging to us. In a nutshell, “a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him.”
Is it a sin to explore your body
Some consider it a natural and healthy component of human sexuality, while others consider it a transgression against God. Ultimately, the decision to engage in sexual exploration is a personal one.
There is no correct or incorrect response, but it is critical to understand the benefits and drawbacks before deciding.
Several churches teach that any sexual activity other than marriage, including masturbation and self-exploration, is a sin.
