Our forestry technicians are familiar with the topography. They oversee the development and organization of the Woodlands team and take pride in the relationships they forge with their coworkers along the process. We have an opening in our Southern Interior Woodlands Division for an experienced forestry technician. Over 953,447 hectares, the Southern Interior Woodlands Team oversees Tolko’s tenure and fiber supply in the Southern Interior of British Columbia. To the benefit of everyone who lives and works in these places, we are committed to keeping them intact.

Our ideal applicant possesses the following attributes:

  • A forestry graduate from an accredited college or university, or possess the same training and real-world work experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, teamwork, and communication abilities.
  • An official driver’s license.
  • A solid grasp of the rules, laws, and policies pertaining to forests.
  • An uncompromising dedication to security.
  • Prior work experience in the industry.
  • It is desirable to be registered for the ABCFP or to be qualified to register.

In this position, you’ll:

  • Activities related to forest development.
  • Road/cut block plan arrangement.
  • Touring through woods and creating related plans.
  • Generally speaking, this job involves both office and field work.
  • Work both inside and outside of teams, and cultivate a close rapport with those you collaborate with.
  • Finish all tasks in a timely, safe, economical, and professional manner.
