Job Details
- Pay: $29.00 per hour (competitive wages and benefits package available)
- Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
- Shift and Schedule: Flexible options available, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime
Overview:
- Languages: English proficiency required
- Education: No formal education required, but relevant experience is a plus
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in construction preferred

Worksite Environment

Responsibilities
- Operate construction equipment: Forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, concrete mixers, generators
- Perform general labour tasks: Demolition, excavation, material handling, concrete pouring, framing
- Assist with carpentry and masonry work: Saws, hammers, drills, levels, trowels
Install and maintain building materials: Doors, windows, insulation, drywall, flooring - Set up and clean work areas: Ladders, scaffolding, tarps, shovels, brooms
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment: Personal protective equipment (PPE), safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots
- Ensure quality control of materials and workmanship: Tape measures, levels, squares, plumb bobs
- Adhere to project deadlines and specifications: Blueprints, plans, instructions
- Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors
- Participate in training and development opportunities
Tasks
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers: Hand trucks, dollies, pallet jacks
- Prepare concrete mixes and pour foundations: Wheelbarrows, shovels, concrete vibrators
- Cut and install lumber for framing: Circular saws, jigsaws, nail guns
- Mix and apply mortar for masonry work: Cement mixers, trowels, bricklayers’ tools
- Install drywall and insulation: Drywall lifts, hammers, utility knives
- Hang doors and windows: Levels, squares, screwdrivers, caulk guns
- Lay flooring and tile: Tile cutters, spacers, grout applicators
- Paint and finish interior and exterior surfaces: Paint brushes, rollers, sprayers
- Clean up debris and maintain worksite cleanliness: Brooms, shovels, garbage bags
- Operate and maintain portable generators and power tools
- Sharpen and maintain tools and equipment
- Assist with surveying and layout tasks: Levels, transits, and measuring tapes
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Learn new skills and adapt to changing project requirements
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude
