Don’t let anyone steal your joy bible verse. Being flawless is not the point; the point is being happy. I’m a Christian, and I’ve been taught that it’s vital to be joyful and happy in all circumstances, but I don’t always follow this advice since it may be challenging if you’re having a bad day or going through something unpleasant.

Don’t let anyone steal your joy Bible verse

Hurts from family and friends bring about sadness and rob people of their joy. The Bible talks about joy in different contexts such as contentment, happiness, fulfillment, relationships, etc., but all entail a state of no calmness and peace.

James 1:2 KJV

My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations

James 1:2 KJV

James 1:2KJV

Fear, betrayal, resentment, insecurities, hardship, depression, etc. are some of the things that stray believers out of their state of joy.

1 Samuel 30:6 KJV

And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.

1 Samuel 30:6 KJV

1 Samuel 30:6KJV

David despite being attacked by the Amalekites with his wives taken captive didn’t slide into depression, but kept on believing in God’s ability to restore to him all that was lost. It wasn’t long before David recovered all he had lost.

Nehemiah 8:10 KJV

Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

Nehemiah 8:10 KJV

Nehemiah 8:10KJV

The import from the scripture above is how Nehemiah, Ezra and the Levites  encouraged the Israelites from mourning and grieving thereby losing their joy.

The opposite of joy is sadness. God want believers to stay in perpetual joy regardless of the horrible experiences of life. This can only be possible when believers understand Satan’s strategy of luring them into sadness through the sad events of life.

This understanding will arm anyone against the devil’s strategy to drive people into depression, which has sent many to their untimely death.

Don’t let the devil steal your joy Bible verse

It is the agenda of the devil to steal, kill and destroy according to

Every day I struggle to find joy in the life that God has given us. We want to feel happy, but it’s so hard when things are bad or there are difficult decisions ahead. It feels like life can’t get any better, yet at times that’s exactly what it feels like.

John 10:10 KJV

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly

John 10:10 KJV

John 10:10KJV

God’s desire is to see people live happily and to their fullest potential. Holding unto God and His promises gives me so much joy and hope.

This is the antidote to Satan’s advances with weapons of depression, fear, insecurity, bitterness, and every negativity.

Let no man steal your joy KJV

Joy is the feeling that comes from a place of deep-seated hope and expectations, regardless of how adverse the circumstance might seem.

John 16:21-22 KJV

A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world. And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.

John 16:21-22 KJV

John 16:21&22KJV

Joy is personal and has to do with choice, that’s why no one can really make another sad without their consent.

Setbacks, failure, and persecution could easily lead to loss of joy. That’s why Jesus in the scriptures above not only told the disciples of his death but also assured them of his resurrection. This gave them hope and encouragement.

Psalm 30:5b KJV

weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Psalm 30:5b KJV

Psalm 30:5b KJV

Joy happens to be a feeling that emanates from a personal conviction about the light at the end of the tunnel. When someone displays joy, it doesn’t necessarily mean all is well. It is a demonstration of faith in the infallible Word of God.

What does the bible say about losing your joy,

Losing one’s joy is often portrayed by episodes of depression, mood swings, bitterness, and other negative emotions.

Hebrews 13:5 KJV

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Hebrews 13:5KJV

Hebrews 13:5KJV

Believers are admonished to wholly trust and depend on God and His promises.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 KJV

Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 KJV

1 Thessalonians 5:16

Three things God has instructed Christians to do always; Rejoice, Pray and give thanks.

Don’t let the devil steal your joy sermon

Keep your joy to yourself. I frequently quote this verse from the Bible, but it applies to the whole book. This means that each of us has things in our lives, such as our children, spouses, friends, and relatives, that bring us happiness and smiles. However, there are also instances when people with different goals and interests from our own steal our joy.

I formerly kept a file of Bible verses on my phone. My parents used it as a motivation when I was a child. This biblical quote, “Don’t let anyone steal your joy,” was always my go-to response whenever I was faced with a challenging task at school or at work. It continues to be my preferred reading for any upcoming assignments or projects.

John 10:10 KJV

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

John 10:10 KJV

John 10:10KJV

The devil in the scripture above is described as a thief whose ungodly agenda is to steal. Awareness of this reality keeps one in a firm position to guard those joys.

I’ve experienced this feeling a lot in my life, particularly when I was younger. I was taught at school that my inability to focus on learning was a result of all the distractions in my immediate environment. No matter if it was a teacher or even one’s peers, it didn’t matter. Nobody has the right to rob us of our delight by demonstrating their superiority.

We may all choose to be joyful whenever we wish. How you view life and the world around you holds the key. Have you ever felt as though someone or something stole your joy? If this is the case, you are not alone, but there is a solution!

Life is hard, and sometimes struggles will come your way. If you are not ready for them, then they can steal a part of your joy — that elusive feeling that makes us want to live in this world.

If you have been completely worn down by that person in your life, who keeps taking away all of your joy and satisfaction, then this is the article you need to read. The old adage, “don’t let anybody steal your joy” is one of the most important pieces of advice we can give ourselves.

You are loved and cared for. You’re going to get exactly what you deserve in this life, you just have to accept it. That’s right, no matter what life throws at you – your joy can be stolen. Don’t let anyone stop you from enjoying the good stuff in life.

You know, some days it really hurts to see someone or something steal your joy. It feels as though someone has stolen a piece of you and is trying to sell it back to you. When this happens, we need to remember that our joy is something that belongs to God only, and the Lord will grant us grace and blessings in many ways.

It’s hard to hear when your joy is stolen. We are all vulnerable when someone steals our happiness for their own.

We all want to be happy and we all want to be surrounded by people who bring us joy, but what many of us fail to realize is that there are people in our lives who have been stealing our joy – and we don’t even know it.
